A Protected Gem in Capdepera

Cala Agulla is part of a pristine coastal zone declared an Àrea Natural d’Especial Interès in 1991, alongside Cala Moltó and Cala Mesquida. Surrounded by a lush pine forest and framed by low rocky edges, this beach is not only naturally stunning but also protected from overdevelopment, preserving its wild charm.

A Spacious, Sandy Bay

This is the largest sandy area in the municipality of Capdepera, offering fine-grained golden sand and shallow, clear waters. The beach expands or contracts depending on the wind: westerly winds build up the beach, while easterlies and northerlies can reduce its size.

Despite its beauty, boat anchoring requires care due to a mix of sand and stone seabed, and the potential for anchors to shift in northern winds. The nearest marina is Club Nàutic de Cala Ratjada, 2.9 nautical miles away.

Easy Access & Popular with Locals

Reaching Cala Agulla is straightforward—simply follow signs from Capdepera or Cala Ratjada. There’s a pay parking area (€2.10, open 9am–7pm), making it a convenient option for both local beachgoers and tourists. Its easy access and ample amenities explain why it’s the most visited beach in Cala Ratjada.
