A Narrow Inlet with Dramatic Surroundings
Set at the border of Cales de Mallorca, Cala Antena lies at the end of a 170-metre-long inlet, framed by rugged cliffs and scrubland. The beach itself is narrow but deep, starting with soft golden sand and leading back to the mouth of a torrent, which gives the cove its unique shape. On the right, touristic buildings cling to the cliffs, while the left side remains natural and untouched.
Wild Charm & Coastal Attractions
The eastern side of Cala Antena opens into a stretch of virgin coastline, and just 200 metres from the beach sits an impressive sea cave, accessible even by boat. There’s also a jetty for passenger launches and stairs cut into the cliffside that descend directly to the beach, making it easily accessible despite its wild setting.
Anchoring & Access
The bay offers a natural entrance of 80 metres, though it is exposed to eastern winds. Boats can anchor in sandy seabeds with depths ranging from four metres at 150m offshore to 1.7m closer in. The nearest port is Port de Portocolom, 4.6 nautical miles away. Visitors can park in the streets of Cales de Mallorca, and the nearest bus stop is just 100 metres from the beach.
