A Quiet Hideaway Surrounded by Pine and Cliffside Charm

Cala Brafi is a small and tranquil sandy cove, tucked into the rugged coastline just a short distance from Portocolom. Framed by low cliffs, pine trees, and Mediterranean shrubland, this beach has retained its virgin character—interrupted only by a traditional escar (boathouse). Rocks scattered along the beach make finding a flat spot for a towel tricky, but contribute to its natural charm. The peaceful setting and permitted nudism attract locals looking to escape the crowds.

Ideal for Quiet Bathing, With Caution for Boaters

The anchoring area is suitable only for small boats with shallow draughts, due to the sandy seabed mixed with seaweed and a gently declining depth from 7 to 3 metres. Boaters should beware of Faralló d'en Fred, a rocky outcrop 200 metres from the cove's entrance. Winds from the northeast to southeast make anchoring here risky. The nearest port is Port de Portocolom, 1.6 nautical miles away.

A Remote Trail Brings Solitude Seekers

There’s no road access to the beach—visitors must leave their car under pine trees near Cala Marçal, about 550 metres away, and walk rugged, unmaintained trails with occasional obstacles. The effort is rewarded by the uncrowded atmosphere and the sense of isolation in a truly unspoilt corner of the Felanitx coast.
