A Compact, Charming Beach in a Lively Setting
Cala d'Or, also known as Caló de ses Dones or Cala d’Hort, is nestled within the namesake resort village — a place lined with whitewashed houses, pine groves, and a series of picturesque coves. This particular beach is small but beautifully formed, featuring fine-grained sand, gentle slopes, and terraced solarium platforms at the rear to enhance sunbathing space.
Natural Protection & Tranquil Waters
Sheltered by a natural cape and enclosed by low, rocky outcrops, Cala d'Or offers calm waters and is one of the most protected beaches in the Santanyí area. The seabed, a mix of sand and seaweed, allows for safe anchoring at 2–3 metres depth, although care is advised during easterly winds.
Easy to Reach, Yet Never Overcrowded
Access is straightforward via car or bus, though parking is limited to village streets and the nearest bus stop is 200 metres away. Despite being located in a popular tourist zone, the beach remains relatively uncrowded, offering a quieter experience amidst the resort atmosphere.
