Untouched Landscape & Wild Setting
Cala d’Egos sits at the end of a V-shaped sea inlet, forming a virgin, isolated cove backed by a steep canyon, irrigated by a seasonal torrent. The beach itself is made up of pebbles and coarse sand, framed by low cliffs, scrubland, and scattered pine trees. Its remote location and rugged terrain create a true sense of seclusion, making it one of the most unspoilt spots on the Andratx coastline.
Boating, Diving & Anchoring
Unlike much of the surrounding coast, Cala d’Egos offers excellent conditions for boating, bathing, and diving. The seabed consists of sand and pebbles, with depths ranging from 7 metres at 150 metres offshore to 10 metres at 250 metres offshore. The bay is open to winds from the south, southwest, and west, but remains generally favourable for anchoring. The nearest marina is at Port d’Andratx, approximately 2.2 nautical miles away.
Challenging Access & Quiet Atmosphere
Reaching Cala d’Egos by land is difficult and only recommended for experienced hikers. Visitors must leave their car at Club de Vela Port d’Andratx, then proceed to Calle Cala d’Egos, where a challenging 4-kilometre hike begins, featuring an elevation gain of around 300 metres with little to no shade. Due to the effort required to reach it, this beach remains extremely quiet and lightly visited, attracting mainly locals or boaters seeking complete tranquillity.
