A Remote and Peaceful Escape

As one of Mallorca’s southernmost beaches, Cala en Tugores is a rare gem of solitude and natural beauty. Flanked by Platja d'es Caragol and only reachable on foot, this remote stretch is ideal for those seeking to escape the crowds. Whether approached via a 3.6 km coastal hike from the Ses Salines lighthouse or a 5.4 km shoreline walk from Colònia de Sant Jordi, the journey is rewarded with unspoilt sands and a tranquil ambiance.

Windswept Pines & Posidonia Meadows

Surrounded by pine trees and low-lying bushes shaped by the southern winds, the cove offers a landscape that feels both raw and untouched. Offshore, dense posidonia seagrass beds form an essential marine ecosystem, supporting sea life and naturally purifying the water. The shallow seabed—just 1.5m deep at 200 metres out— requires careful navigation for boats, especially near the narrow rocky entrance.

A Haven for Walkers and Wildlife Spotters

Despite its isolation, Cala en Tugores is rich in quiet attractions, including s’Estany de ses Gambes, a natural lagoon inhabited by marine birds. No roads lead here, and the absence of built facilities keeps the beach peaceful and pristine—favoured by locals and intrepid beachgoers who value serenity over convenience.
