Quiet Natural Cove Near the Resorts

Cala Falcó is a small, peaceful cove tucked away between the busy resorts of Magaluf and Palma, offering a tranquil escape just minutes from the tourist hubs. Surrounded by pine trees and dense scrubland, the branches almost reach the clear waters, giving the bay a secluded, intimate feel. The beach itself features a combination of sand and patches of seaweed, with low rocky cliffs framing both sides of the cove.

There is limited space for sunbathing, mainly on the narrow sandy strip close to the water, which adds to the quiet and uncrowded nature of the spot, particularly appealing to local visitors.

Boating & Diving

Anchoring is excellent in this calm bay, which is open to southerly winds. The seabed consists of sand and seaweed, with depths of around 3 to 4 metres just offshore. Nearby, at only half a nautical mile, sits s’Illot del Sec, and slightly further east, at around 1.5 kilometres, lies one of Mallorca’s most important dive sites—a Greek shipwreck resting at 30 metres depth. Club Nàutic Santa Ponça is located approximately 1 nautical mile away, providing full marina services.

Access & Popularity

Reaching Cala Falcó is straightforward by car, following signs toward Cap des Falcó via Cala Vinyes. From the parking area, a steep 250-metre descent via stairs leads directly to the beach. Despite its proximity to major resorts, Cala Falcó remains a quiet retreat, known for its relaxed atmosphere and natural setting, primarily attracting local residents seeking a less touristy beach experience.
