A Narrow Inlet Framed by Cliffs

Cala Ferrera lies within a wide, natural sea inlet bordered by steep cliffs, just south of es Faralló de Cala Ferrera. Roughly 100 metres inland, a small headland divides the entrance from the neighbouring Cala Serena, though both share the same sheltered character. The fine sandy beach here is surrounded by dense hotel development, making it one of the most heavily frequented beaches in the Cala d'Or area.

Safe Anchorage for Small Boats

The beach is a favourite among boaters due to its protected setting. The best anchoring area is between Cala Ferrera and Cala Serena, with depths ranging from 6 to 10 metres on a sandy seabed mixed with patches of seaweed. Winds from the east-southeast can occasionally complicate conditions, but the generally calm waters make it a reliable mooring spot. Port Esportiu Marina de Cala d'Or is just 1.3 nautical miles away.

Easy Access for Hotel Guests & Visitors

Reaching the beach is straightforward thanks to clear signposting from s’Horta and Cala d’Or. While hotel guests dominate the area, there’s also ample parking for external visitors. The nearest bus stop is only 300 metres away, making it one of the most accessible beaches for both locals and tourists staying outside the immediate resort area.
