A Secret Sanctuary Between Cliffs and Pines

Cala Mitjana is a quiet, picturesque cove carved into the southeast coast of Mallorca, just a short distance from Cala d'Or. This narrow inlet splits into two arms—the right-hand fork reveals a 20-metre stretch of fine white sand, embraced by low cliffs, pine trees, and rocky outcrops. Hidden from view by the surrounding vegetation and cliffs, Cala Mitjana offers a sense of discovery and exclusivity, ideal for visitors seeking peace and privacy.

Sheltered Waters, Ideal for Boaters and Snorkelers

Boaters are drawn to Cala Mitjana’s excellent anchoring conditions, with the left arm offering 9 metres of depth over a sandy and rocky base, while the right arm is shallower with 5 metres over pure sand—perfect for underwater fishing and relaxed swimming. The surrounding woodland and terrain offer natural wind protection, and the nearest marina is just 2.1 nautical miles away at Port Esportiu Marina Cala d'Or.

Remote Access Keeps the Crowds Away

Reaching Cala Mitjana by land involves some effort, which helps preserve its uncrowded charm. The most direct path is a twenty-minute walk from Cala sa Nau along a steep and rocky coastal trail, which can be dangerous. Alternatively, access is possible via s’Horta, where a path leads past a restricted-access private estate. The challenging approach ensures that this natural gem remains largely untouched by mass tourism.
