A Sheltered Spot with Natural Borders
Also known as Caló des Beato, Cala n’Aguait is a secluded sandy cove formed by the mouth of a small torrent, framed on either side by the walls of a hotel and a private estate. The landscape is dominated by pine trees, tamarisks, and palmitos – a small palm species endemic to the Balearic Islands – lending the area a distinctly Mediterranean feel.
Peaceful, Natural, and Easy to Explore
Although modest in size, this beach is ideal for a peaceful retreat. The nearby Hotel Aguait makes finding the location easier: park in the free lot beside the hotel or take the bus that stops right outside. From there, it’s only a 10-metre walk to the sand. From Cala n’Aguait, you can also enjoy scenic walks to nearby coves – sa Pedruscada and Son Moll to the left, and the four coves of Es Carregador to the right.
Off the Beaten Track
Despite its proximity to Cala Ratjada, Cala n’Aguait remains relatively uncrowded. Its low profile, limited signage, and peaceful atmosphere make it a hidden gem for those seeking simplicity, shade, and the sounds of the sea without the bustle of a major beach.
