A Winding Cove Ending in a Sheltered White Sand Beach

Tucked into the eastern coast of Mallorca, Cala sa Nau is a stunning sandy cove at the end of a sinuous S-shaped sea inlet stretching 350 metres inland. The white, fine-grained sand is embraced by rugged cliffs in hues of white, ochre, and red, fringed with pine trees and coastal vegetation. Despite a few nearby buildings, the area retains a natural, unspoilt charm. A sweet water spring flows into the cove, adding to its uniqueness.

Ideal for Anchoring and Coastal Exploration

With clear waters and a seabed of sand and seaweed, Cala sa Nau offers excellent conditions for anchoring boats and diving. Depths range from three to five metres, and boats can anchor comfortably near the shore. The cove is open to eastern and northeastern winds, and the nearest port is Port de Portocolom, 2.2 nautical miles away. Adventurous visitors can also explore the Cova des Moro, a limestone cave with remnants of ancient human activity.

Easy Access with Coastal Trails to Nearby Coves

Reaching Cala sa Nau is simple, with good signposting from nearby roads. A free car park is located about 500 metres away, and stone steps lead down to the beach. From here, you can also walk along the coast to Cala Mitjana or follow the Camí de sa Ronda, a historic cliffside trail once used by the Guardia Civil to combat smuggling. These characteristics, along with its pristine setting, make Cala sa Nau a popular spot with both locals and tourists.
