Cala sa Nau

Cala sa Nau

Tucked into a rocky stretch of coastline near Felanitx, Cala sa Nau is a beautiful, compact cove beach surrounded by cliffs and pine trees. With crystal-clear waters, soft white sand, and a laid-back beach bar, it’s one of Mallorca’s most charming and lesser-known coastal escapes.

A Natural Coastal Gem

Cala sa Nau lies at the end of a narrow inlet, where calm turquoise water meets a 30-metre-wide sandy beach flanked by limestone cliffs. The beach is relatively small but feels spacious thanks to the natural setting and lack of high-rise development. It’s especially popular with couples, families, and snorkellers looking for a peaceful alternative to the island’s busier southern beaches.

The water is shallow and exceptionally clear, making it ideal for swimming, snorkelling, or simply relaxing on a float. The cove is also a favourite mooring point for small boats that occasionally drop anchor in the sheltered bay.

Relaxed Facilities & Local Atmosphere

Despite its remote feel, Cala sa Nau offers useful amenities: there’s a small beach bar serving drinks, fresh seafood, and snacks during high season, as well as toilets, showers, and sunbeds available for rent. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, with background music from the bar and the scent of pine trees in the air.

It’s also a great spot for coastal walks, with trails leading along the rugged cliffs to neighbouring coves such as Cala Mitjana and Cala Estreta.
