A Peaceful Cove in the Serra de Tramuntana
Set beneath the shadow of Puig Major, Mallorca’s highest peak, Cala Tuent is a serene coastal inlet that curves into the heart of the Tramuntana mountains. Backed by pine-covered slopes and framed by rocky cliffs, this unspoilt semicircular beach offers a mix of gravel, sand, and pebbles—a tranquil contrast to more developed resorts.
Scenic Hiking & Adventurous Access
Though accessible by car via a winding descent off the main Sóller road, Cala Tuent is also the reward at the end of one of Mallorca’s most breathtaking hikes: the sa Costera trail. Starting at Mirador de ses Barques, this moderate five-hour walk offers sweeping coastal views before descending into the cove itself. The beach is popular with both hikers and day-trippers arriving by sea.
Not Ideal for Anchoring, But Worth the Trip
While Cala Tuent is captivating, anchoring here is not recommended due to exposure to north and northwest winds and a rocky seabed ranging from 6 to 8 metres in depth. Still, boats do visit, with Port de Sóller located 5.6 nautical miles away. On land, limited parking and a wild, natural atmosphere preserve the peaceful charm of this stunning Tramuntana hideaway.
