Secluded Cove with Natural Tranquillity

Caló d'en Monjo (also known as Caló des Monjo) sits in a small, virgin inlet, forming the natural boundary between the municipalities of Calvià and Andratx. Framed by medium-high cliffs and dense pine forest that reaches right to the water’s edge, this cove remains one of the most peaceful and unspoilt spots in the area.

The beach itself is made up of pebbles and gravel, with no development in sight, giving it a wild and secluded charm. A small torrent flows into the sea, adding to the unspoiled character of the cove. Due to its isolation and serenity, Caló d'en Monjo has been officially designated as a nudist beach by the Ajuntament de Calvià.

Boating & Anchoring

Anchoring is possible in this quiet inlet, though caution is required due to emerging rocks and a sandbank in the interior of the cove. In the outer part, there’s a rocky seabed with seaweed, and depths reach approximately 5 metres. Club Nàutic Santa Ponça lies around 3 nautical miles away for more secure marina services.

Access & Popularity

Reaching Caló d'en Monjo involves driving to Cala Fornells, where free parking is available. From there, visitors must walk along a marked trail to access the beach. Due to its remote location and limited accessibility, the cove remains uncrowded, primarily visited by local residents and naturists looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by untouched nature.
