A Club Med Cove Surrounded by Pine and History
Nestled near Caló de sa Torre, Caló des Homos Morts is a secluded cove popular with guests of Club Mediterranée, one of the island’s oldest holiday resorts. This small, pine-shaded beach is steeped in vintage tourist charm, with traces of the 1960s resort layout still shaping the atmosphere. The beach’s name, meaning "Cove of the Dead Men," might sound dramatic, but the vibe is anything but—calm, sunny, and lively with resort-goers.
Calm Waters, Buoys & Jetty Access
Despite its exclusivity, the fine sandy beach and clear waters remain inviting. There’s a jetty for passenger boats from Portopetro, and buoys mark a no-entry zone for other vessels. Anchoring is technically possible on a sandy seabed with seaweed, with depths around five metres, but it’s not recommended when easterly winds are present.
Access via Coastal Walk Through the Resort
To reach the cove, you’ll need to park near Caló de sa Torre and walk along the coast, passing through part of the Club Med resort. Though not the easiest access point, the effort is rewarded with a relaxed beach atmosphere and light facilities, including showers and toilets. Unsurprisingly, the beach is most crowded in high season, especially with resort guests.
