A Split Cove Fringed by Exotic Flora

Also known as Caló de ses Donardes, this peaceful beach is named after the presence of pita, an exotic plant brought from the Americas. Nestled between sa Pesquera Plana and Punta de ses Punxes, the cove takes the form of a U-shaped sea inlet, which divides into two small coves. One features pebbles, rocks and sand, offering a raw, natural setting often visited by locals from Cala Blava.

Part of Mallorca’s Untouched South-West Coastline

This stretch is part of a rocky coastal section that begins at Cala Sant Antoni and extends to sa Ràpita, a rugged landscape sculpted by torrents, wind, and wave erosion. Though modest in size, Caló de ses Lleonardes offers spectacular cliffside views and a sense of seclusion, far removed from mass tourism.

Cautious Anchoring in Calm Waters

Anchoring is only suitable in calm weather, as the cove is fully exposed to winds from the southwest to the north. Even small boats struggle to hold position when conditions are rough. On still days, boats can anchor on the sandy areas just offshore. The nearest marina is Club Nàutic s’Arenal, making it accessible to experienced sailors. Visitors should note the lack of tourist infrastructure, which adds to its authentic and unspoilt appeal.
