A Windswept Beach with Archaeological Backdrop
Tucked between Port de Pollença and Platja de Llenaire, Can Cullerassa is a long, narrow beach with a natural blend of pebbles, sand, and seaweed. It’s shaped by strong eastern winds, making the beach feel more rugged and wild compared to its neighbours. Inland, Can Daniel Gran, the largest Talaiotic settlement on the island, lies in Puig de Santuiri, adding a unique archaeological charm to the area. Enormous pine trees fringe parts of the coast, offering scattered shade and scenic contrast to the open sea.
A Haven for Windsurfers, Not for Anchoring
The beach is unsheltered from easterly winds, which makes anchoring boats difficult, but creates ideal conditions for windsurfing. In fact, Can Cullerassa has hosted national and European windsurfing competitions thanks to its steady breezes and open water. At one end of the beach, a public breakwater provides a launch point for small boats with trailers, adding to its recreational appeal for locals.
Easy to Reach, Lightly Visited
Can Cullerassa is easily accessible by car, with free roadside parking and clear signage from nearby towns. Public transport also reaches the area, although most visitors tend to be locals, including fishermen in the evening. Despite its length, the beach remains uncrowded, offering a peaceful alternative to the busier sands of Port de Pollença and Llenaire.
