A Cluster of Quiet, Untouched Coves
Es Carregador is a tranquil section of coastline formed by four small coves with coarse gravel and scattered sand, shielded from view by a tamarisk barrier. These coves sit opposite Punta na Baixa, facing the n'Aguait inlet, and are partially used as landing points for small boats. The surrounding landscape is dotted with seaweed in green and blue tones, giving the water a unique hue.
Peaceful Seaside Retreat with Local Charm
Reaching these coves takes some effort but is well worth it for those seeking peace and privacy. Along the short coastal walk, you'll pass old fisherman’s huts and modest holiday homes built decades ago. The route offers a glimpse into traditional Mallorcan seaside life and leads eventually to Cala Ratjada’s port, making for a relaxed 8 km return coastal walk.
Remote but Reachable
Although car access is limited and may require local knowledge, parking is possible on a raised platform, followed by a half-kilometre walk. Public transport is a more straightforward option, with a bus stop located about 500 metres from the shoreline. These coves remain largely undisturbed due to their discreet location, making them ideal for quiet contemplation or a rustic beach day.
