Southern Mallorca’s Wild Island Views
Tucked between Es Dolç and Es Carbó, Es Dofí offers a tranquil mix of sand, flat rocks, and exceptional coastal scenery. From the beach, you’ll spot four small islands: na Guardis with its Punic archaeological site, s’Estopa, s’Albarda, and s’Illot Petit. This scattering of islets, reefs, and sandbanks gives the cove a distinctive natural beauty.
Excellent Waters for Anchoring
Anchoring here is ideal on calm days. At about 300 metres offshore, sailors will find a sandy seabed mixed with seaweed, and depths around three metres. It's one of the best anchoring zones in the region, shared with nearby Es Carbó. Just note that the seabed can change between sandy patches and submerged reefs.
Natural Trails & Historic Landmarks
Behind the dunes lies the protected Àrea Natural d'Especial Interès Cap de ses Salines, leading into the finca sa Vall—a private estate known for its impressive cactus garden (open Thursdays). The estate also hosts a 14th-century defence tower and palace once owned by the March family. Access is on foot from Colònia de Sant Jordi, with a scenic walk along the coast past Es Port, Es Dolç, and Es Escars.
