Felanitx Weekly Market

Felanitx Weekly Market

Every Sunday morning, the Felanitx Weekly Market transforms the town’s historic centre into a colourful showcase of Mallorcan culture. With bustling stalls, local produce, handmade crafts, and an authentic village atmosphere, it’s one of the most enjoyable ways to experience everyday life in the region.

A Tradition That Brings the Town Alive

The market has taken place for centuries in and around Plaça d’Espanya, spreading into the surrounding lanes and side streets. As church bells chime from the nearby Església de Sant Miquel, locals and visitors browse for fresh food, textiles, ceramics, household items, and gifts. The experience is as much about the social buzz as it is about shopping.

Many stalls are operated by local artisans and farmers from across the island, giving the market a genuine community feel that’s never overly touristy. Mallorcan music often plays from cafés, and local bakeries sell warm ensaïmades or cocas to morning browsers.

What to Expect

The market includes a large food section offering seasonal fruits and vegetables, cured meats, cheeses, olives, almonds, capers, and extra virgin olive oils. You’ll also find handwoven baskets, embroidered linens, and local ceramics — ideal for souvenirs or gifts.

While you shop, enjoy a drink or light tapas at one of the cafés that line the square — it’s the perfect place to people-watch under shady parasols. The market starts early and is mostly wrapped up by midday.
