Inca Weekly Market

Held every Thursday morning, the Inca Weekly Market is one of the largest and most celebrated open-air markets in Mallorca. Spanning multiple streets across the town centre, it draws thousands of visitors each week with its vibrant mix of leather goods, artisan crafts, fresh produce, and authentic local flair.

A Longstanding Mallorcan Tradition

The market has medieval origins, but today’s version is a bustling modern event that reflects Inca’s role as a commercial heartland. It’s especially renowned for handmade leather products, including bags, belts, sandals, and jackets, which connect directly to Inca’s history as the island’s leather capital.

Over 300 stalls typically line the main avenues and squares — most notably Plaça d’Espanya, Carrer Major, and Gran Via Colom — creating a festival-like atmosphere from early morning through midday.

What You’ll Find

Visitors can browse an impressive selection of locally grown fruit and vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, nuts, plants, textiles, clothing, ceramics, jewellery, and even live chickens or rabbits in rural corners. Whether you’re shopping for souvenirs or tasting your way through Mallorca’s produce, the market offers endless browsing.

The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with street musicians, food vendors, and open terraces perfect for a coffee or snack while watching the world go by.

Getting There & Tips

It’s best to arrive early — both to beat the crowds and find parking. The market operates from roughly 08:00 to 13:30, and is mostly flat and pedestrianised, making it easy to explore on foot. Many shops and cafés in the area offer deals or tastings on market day, so plan to spend at least a couple of hours soaking up the local charm.
