Es Vermar – Binissalem Wine Festival
Dates: Last two weeks of September (main weekend 27–28 Sept 2025)
Where: Binissalem
The Es Vermar festival in Binissalem is Mallorca’s most famous autumn fiesta, celebrating the grape harvest with two weeks of food, drink, and tradition. Streets are filled with wine tastings, parades, dances, and concerts, but the standout event is the grape battle (Batalla de Raïm), where hundreds of participants joyfully pelt each other with grapes in a messy but unforgettable spectacle.
Other highlights include wine-themed dinners in village squares, floats decorated with harvest motifs, and folk dancing in traditional dress. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and very Mallorcan, with locals and tourists mixing together under banners that proclaim “Visca Es Vermar!”. For visitors, it’s the ultimate chance to taste the island’s best wines while joining a celebration of community spirit and centuries-old viticulture.
