Palau de Aiamans

One of the grandest buildings in Lloseta, the Palau de Aiamans is an elegant 18th-century palace that reflects the wealth and influence of the noble family who once owned much of the surrounding land. Today, it remains a striking landmark in the heart of the town, its impressive façade and lush gardens offering a glimpse into Mallorca’s aristocratic past.

A Noble Residence

Built during the 1700s, the palace was the seat of the Marquès d’Aiamans and served as both a family home and a centre for managing extensive agricultural estates. The design blends Baroque and neoclassical influences, with a symmetrical stone façade, arched entrance, and decorative wrought-iron balconies.

Behind the main building are ornamental gardens that were once the pride of the estate. These feature landscaped pathways, fountains, and a variety of Mediterranean plants, all enclosed by high stone walls that ensured privacy for the noble residents.

Present-Day Role

While the Palau de Aiamans remains in private ownership, parts of the property have been used for cultural events, exhibitions, and official ceremonies. The exterior can be admired year-round from the main square, where it provides a photogenic backdrop to local festivals and public gatherings.

The palace stands alongside other historic buildings, making this area of Lloseta a rewarding stop for those interested in architecture and heritage.
