Passeig Marítim
Stretching along Palma’s glittering harbourfront, the Passeig Marítim is a wide, palm-lined promenade that offers some of the city’s most beautiful coastal views. Popular with walkers, cyclists, joggers, and photographers, it’s the perfect place to enjoy sea breezes, yacht-spotting, and a laid-back Mediterranean atmosphere.
A Seafront Stroll with a View
The Passeig Marítim runs for several kilometres, connecting Palma’s marina area with the Portopí district to the west and linking to the Parc de la Mar and Old Town to the east. Along the route, you’ll pass luxury yachts, fishing boats, and cruise ships, all framed by the dramatic backdrop of La Seu Cathedral and the city’s skyline.
Well-maintained pedestrian and cycle lanes make it easy to enjoy at any pace, whether you’re out for a gentle evening walk or a full morning run.
Cafés, Bars & Marina Life
The promenade is dotted with cafés, bars, and restaurants ranging from casual tapas spots to fine dining with panoramic terraces. Many have outdoor seating, ideal for lingering over a drink while watching the sunset light up the bay.
At the centre of the marina district, you’ll find the Club de Mar and Real Club Náutico, both focal points for sailing culture in Palma. Throughout the year, the area hosts regattas, boat shows, and live music events.
Linking the City and the Sea
The Passeig Marítim not only offers stunning scenery but also serves as a practical link between the city’s waterfront attractions. From here, you can reach the Es Baluard Museum, La Llotja, Castell de Bellver, and the beaches further west. It’s one of the best ways to appreciate Palma’s blend of urban life and seaside charm.
