Setting & Surroundings
Platja Brismar, also known as Ses Bassetes, is a very small triangular beach tucked between the breakwater and the seafront promenade of Port d'Andratx. Despite being located in one of Mallorca’s most developed tourist and residential areas, it remains the only beach with fine-grained sand in the port.
The surrounding area features impressive vertical cliffs, leading towards Cap de sa Mola, as well as residential homes nestled among thick pine forests, retaining much of its natural beauty despite urban development.
Boating & Anchoring
The natural sea inlet of Port d’Andratx provides sheltered conditions for anchoring, but navigators must remain alert due to sea currents created by the nearby mountains and a fish farm located within the bay.
From this point, visitors can also explore several scenic walking routes to destinations such as La Trapa (a former Trappist monastery), Cala d’Egos, and Puig d’en Garrafa.
Access & Popularity
Access is very straightforward, with clear signs leading to free parking areas near the beach. Public transport is also convenient, with a bus stop directly adjacent to the beach. Due to its small size and urban setting, Platja Brismar is lightly frequented, mainly by local residents rather than large tourist crowds.
