A Long Stretch of Tranquility with Historic Ties

Platja d’Albercuix (also known as Albercutx) is a narrow but extensive stretch of beach skimming the calm bay between Port de Pollença and Punta de l’Avançada. A collection of small coves with fine-grained sand, it runs parallel to a scenic promenade shaded by pine trees and tamarisks, flanked by summer homes and modest hotels. The beach lies in the shadow of La Fortalesa, a striking 17th-century fortress with a rich past—from defending against pirates to inspiring artists such as Joaquín Sorolla and Andrés Segovia in the early 20th century.

Not Ideal for Boats, but Loved by Families

Despite its beauty, the beach is not well-suited for anchoring, as the seabed remains extremely shallow even hundreds of metres from shore. However, its gentle slope and clear waters make it especially popular with families, swimmers, and paddleboarders. The naval and seaplane base nearby adds a historical curiosity but doesn't disturb the beach’s mellow character.

Easy Access & Popular with Locals and Visitors

Reaching Platja d’Albercuix is simple by car, with free parking nearby, and the local bus stop within walking distance. Its walkable promenade, shallow waters, and mountain backdrop help explain why this stretch is one of the most beloved and frequented beaches in the north of Mallorca.
