Popular Resort Setting & Vibrant Atmosphere

Platja de l’Oratori, also known as Cala Portals Nous, sits right next to the prestigious Puerto Portals marina, one of Mallorca’s most exclusive yachting hubs. The beach features fine greyish sand and offers a lively resort atmosphere with numerous services and easy access, making it a popular choice for tourists and locals alike.

The nearby Puerto Portals marina is famed for its luxury yachts, high-end restaurants, designer shops, and nightlife, attracting both residents and international visitors seeking a premium holiday experience.

Boating & Anchoring

Anchoring is permitted between the shore and the small offshore island, Illa d’en Sales, where the seabed consists of sand mixed with seaweed at depths of approximately 3 metres. However, navigators should avoid anchoring south and west of the island, where sandbanks and submerged rocks make navigation hazardous. On the eastern side of the beach, emerging rocks also require caution. Full marina facilities are available at Puerto Portals, immediately adjacent to the beach.

Access & Popularity

Access is extremely easy by car, with clearly signposted routes and free parking directly next to the beach. Public transport also serves the area, with a bus stop located right at the beach entrance. Thanks to its excellent facilities, Blue Flag status, and prime location near Palma, Platja de l’Oratori remains highly popular and often crowded, drawing families, tourists, and yachting visitors looking for a vibrant beach day with plenty of amenities and easy access to the marina’s lively social scene.
