A Historic Stretch with Local Character

Es Capellans—also known as Caseta or Casetes des Capellans—takes its name from the small summer cottages once used by priests (‘capellans’) from nearby Muro. Today, this sandy stretch has grown into a quaint coastal village with modest homes and unpaved, sandy streets, offering a nostalgic glimpse of Majorca’s beach holiday past.

Border Between Villages, Gateway to Nature

This beach marks the transition between Platja de Can Picafort and Platja de Muro – es Comú, acting as a natural divide between the municipalities of Santa Margalida and Muro. Located near the Parc Natural de s'Albufera, it’s surrounded by pine woods and low dunes, with calm, shallow waters that are ideal for swimming.

Easy to Reach, Popular with Families

The beach is easily accessible by car, with free parking available near the Casetes des Capellans, and a bus stop just 100 metres away. Port facilities at Club Esportiu de Can Picafort are within half a nautical mile. Its family-friendly vibe and local charm make Es Capellans a firm favourite with both residents and tourists alike.
