Scenic Setting & Historical Interest

Platja de Sant Pere, together with neighbouring Platja de Sant Joan, is one of only two sandy beaches along this otherwise rocky stretch of Alcudia’s coastline. The area sits close to Castell de Manresa, originally built to defend the Bay of Pollença. In an interesting twist of history, this castle was sold in the 19th century for less than 30 euros.

Between the marina and Punta de Manresa, several natural rocky platforms provide popular spots for young people to jump into the sea, adding a little adventure to this otherwise tranquil area.

Beach Composition

The beach features white, fine-grained sand, surrounded by rocky areas and backed by residential developments that have slightly reduced the original dune system. Nevertheless, much of the natural landscape remains, stabilised by pine trees, thistles, and other coastal vegetation.

Boating & Anchoring

This coastal stretch is generally not recommended for anchoring, due to shallow depths. Buoys mark the bathing zone roughly 200 metres offshore, where water depth reaches around 4 metres. The nearest marina is at Marina de Donaire (Cocodrilo), approximately 0.4 nautical miles away.

Access & Popularity

Access by car is simple, following signs to Mal Pas village, with free parking available nearby. From there, it’s an easy walk to the beach. Due to its location close to residential and tourist areas, Platja de Sant Pere is popular with both locals and visitors, but still maintains a relaxed and uncrowded atmosphere.
