Sheltered Setting & Family-Friendly Waters

Platja de ses Dones, also known as S’Arco de Camp de Mar, is a quiet, narrow coastal stretch separated from the much busier Camp de Mar by a rocky headland. The beach features greyish fine-grained sand gently sloping into crystal-clear shallow waters, making it particularly safe for children. Even at 50 metres offshore, the water remains just 1.5 metres deep, providing excellent conditions for relaxed swimming.

Boating & Anchoring

Anchoring directly at Platja de ses Dones is not recommended, as the area is exposed to winds from the south, southwest, and west, combined with its gentle seabed slope. Boaters are instead advised to anchor nearby at Camp de Mar, where better conditions exist around the small island in the centre of the bay. In this area, the seabed consists of sand and seaweed, with depths ranging from 4 to 5 metres, though care must be taken to avoid the passenger launch channel. The nearest full port facilities are located at Club Nàutic Santa Ponça, approximately 3.8 nautical miles away.

Access & Popularity

Access is easy by car following signs to Platja de Camp de Mar, and from there via the Paseo de la Platja de ses Dones, which leads directly to S’Arco de Camp de Mar. Free parking is available nearby. Public transport also conveniently serves the area, with a bus stop right next to the beach. Despite its proximity to the busy Camp de Mar resort, Platja de ses Dones remains a peaceful, lightly visited beach, offering a more relaxed alternative for visitors.
