A Sheltered Bay with Character and Colour

Port Roig, also known as Estanc d'en Xinet, takes its name from the reddish hues of its coastal rocks and the remnants of an old jetty, where four stone pillars still emerge from the sea. Located on the Costa dels Pins, this fine-grained sandy beach is quiet and peaceful, framed by old tamarisks that provide dappled shade and seasonal fruit.

Local Charm Amid Gentle Tourism

Though modest in size, Port Roig offers a relaxing setting, popular with families staying in nearby hotels or holiday homes. The beach is partially sheltered by Punta Roja, helping protect it from northern winds, although eastern winds bring seaweed ashore, giving the bay a more natural, rustic feel.

Boat-Friendly with a Hint of History

Anchoring is possible just offshore, on a sandy and stony seabed with depths between two and four metres, especially when seas are calm or winds blow from the fourth quadrant (NW–NE). Access is easy via nearby roads, with free parking by the Sun Wing Resort or a stop on the tourist mini-train route.
