A Quiet Beach with a Maritime Past

Once a functioning port, Port Vell still shows remnants of its heritage with an old jetty and a name that reflects its seafaring roots. Today, it forms part of the Costa dels Pins and offers a calm, semi-wild coastal experience, with coarse ochre sand, pebbles, and a fringe of pines, tamarisks, and coastal bushes.

Natural Shelter in the Bay of Son Servera

Located in one of the most protected corners of the Bay of Son Servera, Port Vell shields boats from northern and north-western winds, although southern gusts can still reach its shores. Anchoring is possible but requires care due to rocky outcrops and small islets in the area. Just inland, the Torre de Son Servera, a medieval watchtower, stands between Port Vell and neighbouring Port Nou.

Family-Friendly and Easy to Reach

This beach is a favourite among local families and summer residents, offering peace without complete isolation. It's easy to reach by car with free parking nearby, and also served by a tourist mini-train that runs throughout the summer months.
