A Quiet Cove Framed by Rock & Pebble

Tucked beneath the village of Cala Blava, Punta de ses Puntes—also known as Pas de ses Barques or Punta de ses Punxes—is a narrow sea inlet flanked by steep rocky edges and scattered with pebbles. There is no sand on the shoreline, making it a less ideal spot for families with small children but perfect for those seeking a more rugged, natural experience. Most of the regulars here are local residents.

A Stretch of Southern Coastal Character

This coastal corner sits within a dramatic zone of southern and southwestern Mallorca, where cliffs dominate and rocky coves replace sandy expanses. It's part of a larger stretch running from Cala Sant Antoni to sa Ràpita, shaped by centuries of wind, waves, and seasonal torrents. The area is quiet, wild, and scenic, with multiple small inlets to explore nearby.

Anchor Only in Calm Waters

The waters here are only suitable for anchoring in calm weather, as the coastline is entirely exposed to winds from the southwest to north. Small boats with low draughts may find anchor points on visible sandy seabeds just offshore, but extreme care is required. The nearest port is Club Nàutic s'Arenal, the main access point for this undeveloped stretch of coast.
