A Wide, Welcoming Beach with Crystal Waters
Sa Coma stands out as a spacious and popular resort beach, defined by its white, fine-grained sand and transparent turquoise water. Since its development in the 1980s, this residential and hotel-lined coastline has become a magnet for families and holidaymakers, offering excellent conditions for swimming, windsurfing, and diving – with occasional dolphin sightings adding to the magic.
Nature & Views at Punta de n’Amer
To the left of the beach lies Punta de n’Amer, a protected natural headland of 200 hectares, designated as an Àrea Natural d’Especial Interès. With only a couple of rustic buildings nestled among its paths, it offers a tranquil contrast to the lively beachfront and acts as a natural divide between Sa Coma and Cala Millor.
Access, Facilities & Safety
Reaching Sa Coma is easy, whether by car or public bus, with the nearest stop just 50 metres away. While the beach is exposed to easterly and northerly winds – making anchoring less advisable – it is possible to anchor on a sandy seabed in calm conditions at about 2 metres depth, 200 metres offshore. With full amenities and excellent accessibility, it’s no surprise Sa Coma remains one of the busiest beaches on the east coast.
