A Quiet Retreat Beneath Panoramic Cliffs

Tucked beneath the village of Son Verí and the old finca of Son Grauet, Sa Cova Baixa (also known as Escat de Son Fraret or Roca des Turistes) is a tiny rocky cove at the edge of Palma Bay. A coastal promenade from Club Nàutic s’Arenal winds along this part of Llucmajor’s shoreline, offering access to this secluded inlet and the surrounding rugged coves.

Roca des Turistes: Views Over the Bay

A short walk away lies Roca des Turistes, a flat, three-metre-wide rock reached via a carved stair – a local lookout point with sweeping views over the Mediterranean. Nearby, small coves such as es Calonet des Fornàs, Cova Verda, and Caló de Sant Vicenç share the same unspoiled character.

Local Seclusion & Minimal Development

Favoured by residents of Son Verí and Son Verí Nou, Sa Cova Baixa remains largely undeveloped, defined by cliffs, rocks, and crystalline waters. Though possible to anchor nearby in good conditions, this section of coastline is exposed and rocky, making it best suited to local bathers and those seeking quiet inlets far from mass tourism.
