Sa Dragonera Natural Park

A Wild Islet at Sa Dragonera Natural Park

Just off Mallorca’s southwest coast lies the rugged islet of Sa Dragonera, a protected natural park that feels a world away from the bustle of the mainland. Shaped like a sleeping dragon, it is a sanctuary for wildlife and a favourite destination for hikers and boat trippers.

Unique Wildlife

The park is famous for its population of endemic lizards, found nowhere else in the world, along with seabird colonies including shearwaters and falcons. The surrounding waters form a marine reserve teeming with fish, making it an important biodiversity hotspot.

Hiking and Exploration

Visitors arriving by boat can explore well-marked trails that range from easy coastal walks to longer routes leading up to the lighthouses at Cap de Tramuntana and Cap de Llebeig. Along the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views across the Mediterranean and Mallorca’s coastline.
