The Start of Es Trenc’s Iconic Coastline
S'Arenal d'en Tem marks the beginning of Es Trenc’s famous 3.5-kilometre stretch of pristine coastline within the Àrea Natural d'Especial Interès es Trenc-Salobrar de Campos. With white fine-grained sand, a gentle slope, and crystal-clear waters, this beach is a favourite for locals and tourists alike. Behind the beach, a protected dune system separates the shoreline from the surrounding saline wetlands and farmland.
Natural Beauty & Historic Reminders
The calm transparent waters facing south to northwest are ideal for swimming, although boaters are advised to keep a safe distance due to submerged flagstone hazards that can be invisible in rough weather. Offshore, remnants of history remain visible — six Civil War bunkers still dot the coastline of Es Trenc, a reminder of the area’s strategic past.
Easy Access & Amenities
Reaching S’Arenal d’en Tem is simple by car with ample parking nearby, and a bus stop approximately 200 metres away offers convenient public transport access. The beach is well-served with toilets, restaurants, disabled access, and waste facilities, ensuring comfort for all visitors. From here, you can also enjoy pleasant walks along the coast to Es Freu de ses Covetes or continue on to Es Trenc.
