A Wide, Welcoming Bay with a Historical Heart
Also known as Cala Moreia or Platja de s’Illot, this spacious beach sits where the Torrent de n'Amer flows into the sea. It’s a gently sloping, family-friendly bay shared between Manacor and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, with a landmark bridge straddling the municipal border. Hotels and residential buildings line the coast, offering convenient access to the beach and nearby amenities.
Not Ideal for Anchoring, But Great for Views
While not recommended for anchoring due to exposure, there is a small wharf used by local fishers on the western edge near the island that gives the beach its name. The nearest proper port facilities can be found at Port de Portocristo, 3.1 nautical miles away.
Culture, Convenience & Coastal Charm
S’Illot is easily reached by car or public transport, with a bus stop just 50 metres from the beach. Its popularity with families and holidaymakers is no surprise, especially given the range of services and the proximity to the Talaiotic village of S’Illot, a Bronze Age archaeological site just 200 metres away and declared a National Monument in 1964.
