Located around 400 metres above sea level on the road between Pollença and Lluc, Vinyes Mortitx sits in a dramatic valley just one kilometre from the sea. Surrounded by rugged limestone peaks and set within a protected landscape, the vineyard occupies a former agricultural estate revitalised in the early 2000s to become one of Mallorca’s most scenic and innovative wineries. Its vines benefit from a unique microclimate of cool nights, saline breezes, and nutrient-rich clay-limestone soil — all of which contribute to the freshness and complexity of its wines.

A Boutique Wine Experience

Visitors to Vinyes Mortitx can enjoy a relaxed, guided experience that goes beyond tasting. Tours often begin with a gentle walk through the vineyard rows, framed by mountains, before moving into the cellar for a look at the winemaking process. Tastings are typically held outdoors or in the winery's tasting room, with options to sample three or five wines, accompanied by local cheeses, olives, and rustic bread. The estate focuses on both native and international varieties — including Callet, Gorgollassa, Malvasia, Syrah, and Chardonnay — offering reds, whites, rosés, and a much-loved dessert wine, Dolç de Gel.

Access, Tours & Booking

Vinyes Mortitx is located at km 10.9 on the Ma-10 mountain road, about 25 minutes from Pollença or Lluc by car. It’s open to visitors Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 15:00, with advance booking recommended for tours and tastings. The road access is narrow and winding but well worth the effort — many visitors say it’s one of the most memorable experiences of their trip.
